Weekly Catchup

First up, I'm over at Tote Bags 'n' Blogs talking about novellas, today. Come join me!

So what's everyone planning for their weekend? I'm going to be going through galleys and doing some edits. And yes, I consider that fun *g*

Hi Nalini,

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Your guest blog was interesting; I agree with you on the factors that work for me in a novella. What book are you doing edits on? And can I be dumb and ask what galleys are?

Brace yourself for excitement - I have a day full of depositions Saturday. But I also am going to a Zombie party afterwards so that should be interesting *g*

Kat - I'm doing edits on another novella. And galleys are the last proofs of a book an author sees. I'm going through the galleys for Mine to Possess - hopefully, I'll pick up any typos!

That Zombie party sounds fun! Are you going to dress up?

Hi Nalini,

Thanks for the explanation. I frequently hear galleys mentioned and am completely clueless, lol. Is the novella for the Psy-Changeling series or a different series? And I'm very good at catching typos if you need any help ;)

I am dressing up for the Zombie party, though as a member of the Zombie Outbreak Response Team instead of a Zombie. I think I have an hour, maybe an hour and a half to run home, change out of courtroom attire, and gear up to battle those Zombies. I'm looking forward to it :)

Hi Nalini!

I hope you have a great weekend. As for me---my mother-in-law is coming into town today. It seems to surprise most people when I say that I'm actually looking forward to it. LOL. Other than that, we're taking our kids to the circus tonight, so they're super excited.

I read Nate and Tamsyn's story last night. It was soooo good! And I loved the epilogue. :)

Well, it was tough this week, being back at work after a relaxing 2 weeks off. Plan on relaxing this weekend by reading a couple of books and the main item on the agenda is to mow the lawn (so I hope it rains!).

Have started Kresley Cole's Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night, which I bought in eBook format - didn't think it was to be released until the end of October but spotted it on the Fictionwose website!
